Accidents will happen, but this is Ridiculous!

Sorry it's been so long, no excuse, just laziness

Some very interesting action happened in our neighbourhood last night.

At around 5 pm I was sitting in our living room watching TV when I heard some very loud bangs coming from outside. At first it sounded like the noise was coming from behind us, so I looked out the back door and didn't see anything, but could still hear the noise only now it sounded like it was coming from around the front of the house.

I cut through to the front of the house and as I am getting closer I hear some really loud bangs right out front, and it sounded like the noise was moving down the street.
I peered out the front window to see what was going on and this is what I saw...

That is the car of our next door neighbour on it's side and the plow is from accross the road. I proceed to go out side only to find more cars smashed up and skid marks on the road.

Turns out some guy in a U-Haul truck was a little "out of control". He ended up down the street without his front tire, and the front of the truck smashed to sh*t with grass and tree branches stuck under the front of it.

From what we have pieced together so far, it started on the street behind us. The truck took out two cars in their driveway...

Then swipped a Purolater van, smashed through a fence and across a lawn...

Then it made it's way to our street and continued until it reached the lights at the end of the road.

If you want to look on the bright side of things, no one was hurt, my car was in the driveway and was untouched and Steph was not home from work yet. The police, fire department and ambulance were on scene very quickly and had the street closed off.

The police had the driver of the U-Haul in custody and I heard that charges were laid. I have to wait until the local paper comes out tomorrow to find out all the details. I will update you then.
