Nature's Fury vs the Geocachers
This past weekend we took a trip up to the cottage to start to close it for the season. On the way up there we thought we would stop along the way and do a little geocaching.
Our cottage is up in the Haliburton region, and as some people will know this summer parts of the area were hit pretty hard with storms and winds. Several tornados were even spotted here and there.
The area we decided to geocache in was one of the area that was hit by really strong winds. It was in a forest beside a river, and the trees there were quite large. Here is a picture of just how much damage Mother Nature can do.
This is what we had to go through to get to the cache. We found it and are now up to 37 finds!
Next weekend we are back up to the cottage and will be doing some more geocaching. Our goal is to be at 50 finds by the end of this year. We will do it!!
