I grew beans!!

Hello one and all,
I came home today to find that Scott had given us this little part of the web as an outlet so that you could know what is going on with us. So here is my news of the day - I grew beans! That's right, beans. I know this may not be too exciting for some of you but it was for me. As a child, my mother often kept a garden in the backyard and I recall trying to be a good helper. But in adulthood I was starting to doubt that my thumb might ever turn green. We recently moved into the lower level of a house and there was a very unkept garden in the backyard. So what the heck, I thought, let's see if anything will grow. Even Scott had some doubts and asked me "You won't be upset if nothing grows will you?" But I had faith that it might. So I weeded and watered, and yesterday after coming home from the cottage, I was weeding and found that the beans had grown!! So tonight we had beans for dinner! They were pretty good, even if Scott did smoother them in pepper sauce, but at least he ate them. Anyhow, that's my news for today! ~Steph
